Injectables
Facial enhancement or rejuvenation by the use of injectables is an extremely popular treatment at Reddy Aesthetics.
The use of combining injectable products, such as Dysport and Restylane, allows for immediate improvement of a single facial feature or complete facial rejuvenation in a single in-office treatment.
Dr. Reddy has performed thousands of injectable treatments with a proven track record of safety and outstanding results. During his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgical training, Dr. Reddy studied under recognized world leaders in the field of cosmetic injectables.
Based on years of studying injectable treatments and my personal experience, we have streamlined our offerings at Reddy Aesthetics for clinical effectiveness, reduced downtime, and safety.
Following is a brief description of some of our more popular injectables at Reddy Aesthetics:
Dysport is our preferred treatment for wrinkles and fine lines. In our practice, clients note that results with Dysport are typically seen about 3-5 days following treatment. Dysport is diluted in a 3 Unit per 0.01 cc concentration and reported as 1 MU. For comparison, 1 MU is roughly equivalent to 1 Unit of Botox. Clients also note that Dysport delivers a “softer” look and lasts at least as long as other neuromodulators on the market. We do offer Xeomin and Botox for those clients that prefer these agents.
While bruising is possible with any facial injectable treatment, it is uncommon in our practice.
Restylane LYFT is my preferred HA-filler (HA refers to hyaluronic acid — naturally occurring component of soft tissues) for rejuvenation of the upper and midface based on my extensive experience with a variety of fillers. Restylane LYFT is a “stiffer” filler and in addition to creating or restoring volume, effectively projects tissues thus creating a lift — or LYFT as it’s brand suggests. Compared with other fillers, it results in less post-treatment swelling and nodularity.
Restylane Silk is a softer version of it’s cousin Restylane LYFT and in our practice is effectively used in correction of tear troughs (under eye circles or bags) and lip enhancements.
Both Silk and LYFT are excellent products with long track records of effectiveness and safety.
Restylane Kysse was introduced in April of 2020 and is the newest filler in the Galderma portfolio of fillers. It is touted as a “flexible” filler and therefore designed for lips which is a highly animated area of the face. Our clients have experienced excellent results with Restylane Kysse thus far.
Prollenium Versa has been available since 2018 and has proven to be an excellent product although not as well known as some of the fillers. It has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid of any commercially available filler in the US and is manufactured with spheroid particles. The physical properties of Versa have been clinically proven to result in less swelling. Therefore, I use it for both lip enhancement and tear trough correction although it may be applied to any area of the face.
Radiesse is not a hyaluronic acid filler like the other fillers mentioned above. It is composed of methylcellulose, a sugar molecule, with calcium particles. It is a filler with a long track record of both safety and effectiveness. It is arguably the “stiffest” filler available on the market. In our practice, we prefer it’s application for defining and rejuvenating the jaw line. A more recent application is the hyper-dilute form of Radiesse applied just beneath the skin, or in the dermis, to stimulate collagen formation which is effective for modest skin tightening and fine line correction.
The range of injectable products in essence represents the artists palette from which I draw upon in order to tailor the best results for our clients. We constantly evaluate new products as they come to market and will continue to select only those injectables with a sound scientific basis or track record of effectiveness.
Aftercare following injectables is straightforward. As long as there is no post-treatment swelling, clients may apply makeup or exercise several hours following treatment. For clients undergoing tear trough correction or lip enhancements, I find Preparation H applied to the treated areas is a powerful solution for any incidental swelling.
