Lower Body Lift
Lower body lift is the procedure that I recommend for clients whose goal is to achieve improved body contouring following weight loss of greater than 20% of their original body weight.
The procedure is also suitable for clients wishing to achieve improved body contouring to correct loose skin as a result of the normal aging process.
The lower body lift has undergone many modifications since it’s introduction in the 1980s. A well planned and executed lower body lift achieves the following: correction of loose skin in the lower abdomen; improved waist definition; improved hip contour; correction of lateral thigh skin laxity; and improved contour of the gluteum (bottom).
The scar is designed in advance of surgery based on the clients preference for swimming suits or under garments and well accepted in exchange for the improved body contour.
The procedure may be safely combined with lipo-sculpting and fat grafting to improve projection of the bottom.
The procedure is performed under GA (General Anesthesia) and requires repositioning during the procedure. Although I recommend an overnight stay, the procedure may be performed on an outpatient basis with the proper precautions.
As with all elective body contouring procedures, it is mandatory that the client be able to walk independently the day after the procedure.
I have found the lower body lift to be one of the most satisfying procedures I perform and clients describe the procedure as transformational.
